Door County prides itself on being a community that welcomes everyone who lives, works, or visits here. JUST Door County's programs challenge the community to live up to this promise. Partnering with others in the community, we create opportunities for those who are excluded to share their perspectives; we offer education that breaks down the barriers to inclusion; and we provide tools to help build a community where everyone is valued and invited to participate.
Our community impact since December 2017:
Distributed 750 hats, gloves, & scarves to Door County residents in need through our Warmth for Winter program
Donated over 165 books to Little Free Libraries (LFL) around Door County, including a dedicated social justice LFL in Sister Bay
Presented more than 25 workshops, trainings, listening sessions, and community conversations for students of all ages, parents, business owners, community leaders, and seniors.
Co-sponsored community education projects on racial and LGBTQ inclusion, affordable housing, and bystander intervention.
